VALIMET’s AM line of Aluminum Alloy powders is specifically designed for Additive Manufacturing and Cold Spray.
After atomization via inert gas for spherical morphology, the Aluminum powders are sized to enhance flowability. The particle size distributions are tailored to maximize density and optimize printing performance while meeting stringent OEM specifications.
High criticality repairs require this powder to be sprayed with Helium on a high pressure Cold Spray system. VALIMET powders for Cold Spray applications typically have a particle size distribution in the range of -53/+15µm.
Laser Powder Bed Fusion process often incorporates recycling systems. VALIMET’s “C” grade Aluminum alloy powders have a slightly coarser distribution, with better flow characteristics, sized in the range of -63/+20µm. We guarantee a minimum Hall Flow rate for all of the “C” grades.
