We’ll tell you the full story in the near future.
In a few words: Professor Francisco Medina 🦕 invited the Metal Powder Industries Federation to offer a seminar to his students.
MPIF’s Wiley Abner and VALIMET’s Luigi Alzati volunteered for the job, joined by Dr. Ian McCarthy. 51 curious and cheerful students showed up.
Then Formnext starts, with the #IfYouKnowYouKnow reception by Additae Digital. Its founders Greg Waters and Anthony Hickey tell their fellow Listener Luigi Alzati about several junior positions they need to fill. UTEP students are immediately recommended as a key pool of talents. It was owed to them and to their positive attitude.
The circle got quickly to a close: Prof. Medina and James Carney happened to be in the same pub. An introduction was made (documented) and the conversation began. Truth be told: Greg understood EXACTLY what type of values move UTEP students.
What these organizations have in common is ultimately the awareness that young people are a key for a viable future.
Developing, attracting, retaining them is only the action plan.
This is the type of networking that’s going on at Formnext – Where ideas take shape.
