Prompting #NaturalIntelligence underneath the Kumquat tree.

Read if you’re in Sales and Marketing.

VALIMET, Inc. is a manufacturer of spherical Aluminum Alloy powders. Our followers are familiar with our being based in California, having interest in employees’ well-being and taking care of our Orchard.

Now, most of the Kumquat fruits were gone by mid 2025 – to the delight of employees and visitors.

Stripped bare, our tree decided to counter-attack. What’s Non-Obvious™ is that while doing so, it displayed a check-list for Sales and Marketing professionals.

  1. Blossoming time. Counting blooms predicts the harvest; This is the Top-of-funnel stage for Sales forecasting, during budgeting exercise
  2. Pollination: Marketing, Sales reps and partners move intent into qualified demand not differently from bees that move pollen where it’s needed.
  3. Thinning fruit: proper gardening requires removing weak fruit and deadwood so the rest sizes up. That’s the basics of pipeline hygiene: you cut low-fit opportunities so your resources concentrate on the winnable ones.
  4. Staggered fruit set: different flowers sets will be pollinated and give fruit at different times (see the picture).
    Think of a time-staged pipeline of Opportunities collected by the Sales team.
    A healthy tree has fruit at blossom/green/ripe stages;
    a healthy pipeline has prospects at awareness/qualify/proposal/close.
    Who wants empty months?

We share the appeals to learn better ways to prompt #AI.
In addition to that, we believe that if you prompt #NI, even a Kumquat has a lot to tell.

Does anyone agree?
