Cadillac CELESTIQ: 115 parts are going to be made by Additive Manufacturing (AM). One of them is safety-related: the seat belt adjustable guide loop.
The AM equipment is installed in-house, in the GM Global Technical Center campus.
The adoption of AM in boutique, small series manufacturing is most likely an irreversible trend.
That prepares the ground for wider adoption as AM machines progress in throughput, yield.
