GO-Biz recently completed a productive joint trade mission with the State of Washington to Poland and Ukraine, focused on strengthening commercial ties, advancing reconstruction partnerships, and reaffirming California’s long-standing support for Ukraine.

Thank you to the California companies who joined the mission: Bardex® Corporation, Collectron Energy, Innovus Power Inc, Skydio, Stayner Architects, The Dew Water Corporation, and VALIMET, Inc..

In Warsaw, our delegation exhibited at the ReBuild Ukraine conference and met with government partners, project developers and distributors seeking clean energy, construction and advanced manufacturing solutions. The tradeshow brought together over 6,000 attendees, 762 exhibitors, 23 national pavilions and representation from 33 countries.

From there, we traveled to Lviv—California’s sister-state—where we engaged directly with regional leadership, business associations, and local and multinational companies emblematic of Ukraine’s economic resilience. Our meetings highlighted clear opportunities for California firms in renewable energy, infrastructure modernization, resilient design and technology collaboration. Companies benefited from targeted matchmaking and in-depth discussions with industry and government stakeholders.

The visit also offered a deeper understanding of the human and economic realities Ukrainians face. Conversations with regional leaders, site visits to major employers and interactions with the local business community reinforced both the urgency and the long-term potential of reconstruction efforts. The people of Lviv emphasized the significance of California’s continued engagement and the importance of partnerships at the state level.

California’s history with Ukraine spans decades through our National Guard partnership, business ties and now our formal sister-state relationship with Lviv. This mission strengthened that foundation and created new pathways for cooperation across energy, construction, and technology.

We are grateful to our partner agencies and our Ukrainian and Polish hosts. Dentons, Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), White Star Real Estate (WSRE), Peak Legal, Lviv California Chamber of Commerce, and SoftServe were critical to the trade mission’s success.

GO-Biz remains committed to supporting Ukraine’s economic future and to ensuring California companies are part of its reconstruction.
