We chose this image because we believe it carries multiple pointers:
It is the cover of a 1993 unofficial live recording by a great American band: the Pat Metheny Group.
The photographer stood beside a street sign that is particularly meaningful: ‘Liberty Street’.
The recording is titled ‘Unity Village’.
The photographer captured the great beauty of human achievement—the Twin Towers—and yet was aiming higher, toward the blue sky.
That sums it up for us.
