We’d like to bring to the attention of the AM community this work by Erfan Maleki, Professor Sara Bagherifard and the team that’s under Professor Mario Guagliano‘s supervision at Politecnico di Milano.
Surface deformation, grains refinement and the possibility to design the optimal Compressive Residual Stress profile for a metallic component, based on the fatigue loading that’s expected for it is what can make a post-process treatment worthwhile.
